Deanna J. Chapman DPM LLC Podiatry

Heel pain is one of the leading causes for an office visit to Dr. Chapman. Heel pain is commonly traced to an inflammation on the bottom of the foot. Dr. Chapman can evaluate your inflammation using an ultrasound machine and may advise  Powerstep Professional inserts or custom shoe inserts called orthotics to help alleviate the pain.

Plantar fasciitis is caused by inflammation of the plantar fascia  tissue that stretches from the base of the toes, across the arch of the foot, to the point at which it inserts into the heel bone. This inflammation can cause what is known as  “heel spur syndrome,” and can usually be successfully treated with conservative measures such as use of anti-inflammatory medications and ice packs, stretching exercises, orthotic devices.
